PERSONAL AND NATIONAL PANDEMIC

Our fight against COVID-19 is personal as well as national and international. The experts say that for us to successfully fight Pandemics like this on a national and international level, we need to increase our preparedness for the illness and our compliance with vaccines and treatments and increase our skills. We’ll at Trump Medicare Advantage for All, we say that the same applies to each of us personally.

If we as a nation are in great health, we have less to worry about. To fight an international Pandemic, we need to:

  1. Be Prepared: We spend more on the military and protecting our borders than we spend on health.
  2. Improved Compliance: We don’t listen to our government. We don’t get flu shots. We don’t want to be told what to do, and unfortunately sometimes when we are asked to do things we know we should, we don’t do them.
  3. Better Vaccines: We knew about the effective Malaria treatments for COVID-19 but it took a forceful President and some vocal Governors to get them in greater use. We need more vaccines.
  4. Better Diagnostics. Better testing technologies are required. Take COVID-19 as an illustration. From the CDC regulating all the testing to lab tests conducted by state and municipal institutions, still requiring several days, to virtually drive-by tests, they are now talking about tests that produce findings in less than an hour and tests for individuals who have already had it and recovered. All of such studies, however, require funds in order to purchase laboratory supplies, clean them using Golyath distilled water bulk, pay the scientists, and other expenses. Therefore, funding for lab testing should be adequately allocated by the government.

We spend all of our time complaining about the cost of health care and the cost of pharmaceutical research and then when we are facing an illness we can ALL get and potentially die from, it is Katy Bar the Door when it comes to spending money. We need more investment in effective and fast diagnostics and testing.

Now what is all this about? It is about our nation being as well prepared as we should be. Great health means our immune systems are at their highest levels. We are taking good care of ourselves. We are taking the necessary medications and treatments to maintain our health. We are doing all the things we are supposed to do to stay healthy.

Well, we are sorry to have to tell you this but this description of health DOES NOT APPLY to most Americans. And, furthermore, our ill health is NOT JUST OUR FAULT. It is the failure of our medical care and our health care system. Most of us are overweight. Ninety percent (90%) of our medical expenses are for the treatment of chronic illnesses, a full fifty percent (50%) of which are preventable or reversible. Almost half of all Americans do not have or do not visit their doctor regularly. And, now that we are fighting a Pandemic, these weaknesses are showing. Today, only 1 in 10 people that get tested for COVID-19 test positive. So, why are 9 out of 10 people getting tested and straining our medical system to provide them?

There are a couple of very important things you need to take away from all of this. First, a Pandemic is NOT inevitable. Outbreaks of a serious viral illness are inevitable. But if we have early warning. If we use good practices and if we are prepared to treat these viruses, all of the bad things associated with these outbreaks can be controlled and avoided, but we have to be vigilant. We can have government fighting things that have got to get done in order to deal effectively with this ill-health.

CHINA is at fault here and to claim otherwise in Truly UN-AMERICAN. I repeat, if you think it is racist NOT to call China out for hiding this from the world for three weeks, you should move to China! Secondly, the U.S. has also had difficulty getting this under control. The truth is, there is no country in the world that was really prepared for this and no country that has handled it particularly well. But, as far as we are concerned, President Trump has acted more decisively and more effectively than any other world leader of which we are aware.

The same thing is true for our medical care and our health care system. Government-run health care is NOT the answer to Pandemics. Just look a Great Britain and their response to Corona. Our Medicare system is responsive because it is largely managed by private companies that are responding to the needs of our seniors with telehealth and Nursing home protections, and testing, etc. And, this is exactly how our Trump Medicare Advantage plan will work for every American.

Not only that, but our health care system is partially responsible for getting us into this deep hole. We need a better health insurance system to get us out of it. Go to www.medicare-advantage-for-all.com for some real answers and make America healthy again!

    Medicare Advantage Ahead

We Americans Are Dying We Need Better Healthcare

We are seeing shorter lifespans and declining birth rates in the United States. In December, candidate Andrew Yang commented on the life span issue on Democratic Debate stage. In a recent study done by UC Berkeley, in the seven years ending 2017, they identified 33,000 what they called “excess deaths”. These were productive Americans cut down in their prime working years. This could be you or me! The life spans of all Americans between the ages of 25 and 64 declined. We need to take care of our health, and we can no longer accept that the government can take care of our health.

As Americans, we spend more money on health care than any other nation. With all this spending, you would think that our health would be “better” than any other nation and it is NOT! We have shorter and declining life spans, more of our babies are dying prematurely and we suffer from the highest rates of chronic illness in the world. People are dying because our health care system is failing us. Our health care system is cheating us. We are paying more and getting less back.

We need to accept the fact that our government is failing us with health care. Neither political party has been able to create a health insurance system that really works. The failure of our health insurance system and the deteriorating health of the American people are directly related!

The Democrat bills before Congress on “Medicare for all” are popular among the progressive American electorate but not so popular with several of the Democratic Presidential hopefuls or the leadership in the House and Senate. Unfortunately, Bernie Sanders originally estimated that the 10-year cost of his program was $32.6 Trillion Dollar. Now he says he doesn’t know how much it will cost. Obviously, now he thinks it will actually cost a lot more than he originally estimated. Elizabeth Warren estimates her plan will cost $52 Trillion Dollars. President Donald Trump, speaking at his Kansas Rally in 2018, claimed that if Congress were to enact the “Medicare for all” program today, it would “… eviscerate our beautiful Medicare Advantage Program…”

A universal Medicare for all plan would certainly be the beginning of the end of the Medicare program as we know it, for the almost 60 Million voting seniors, who are enrolled. The Medicare Trust Fund will be 100% GONE by 2026!

We cannot substantially improve the health of the American people until we adopt health insurance programs that really work! Many experts believe Obamacare will be declared unconstitutional in 2020 and since the Medicare Trust will also be bankrupt in just 6 years later, this is an ideal time for us to modernize Medicare and lower the cost of health care in the United States.

We can modernize Medicare with Medicare Advantage. A properly designed Medicare Advantage for All plan could reduce our NHC-GDP by $1.3 Trillion Dollars, to 12% of total GDP, by reducing or eliminating just half of our chronic illness. And, that would be just the beginning.

    A Trump Medicare Advantage Plan

Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren speak on a Medicare for All program that will cost us BIG TIME MONEY. The 10-year cost estimate for Sander’s program is $32.6 trillion and Warren estimates her plan will cost $52 trillion.

President Donald Trump, speaking at his Kansas Rally in 2018, claimed that if Congress were to enact the Medicare For All program today, it would “… eviscerate our beautiful Medicare Advantage Program…”

Trump is moving to expand Medicare Advantage. If this goes into legislation, we will begin the healing of our health care system, save lives, lengthen our life spans, and reduce high costs by improving the health and welfare of our people.

Currently, we are being ripped off with our healthcare. Birth rates and life expectancy are markers for the overall health of our nation. And, our babies are dying at a rate 71% higher than comparable nations. Over the last eight years, all Americans between ages 25 and 64 of every income, race and ethnic background have a shorter life span. In short, we desperately need to “Make America Healthy Again” and Donald Trump is the President to do it.

A Trump Medicare Advantage for All plan can deliver comprehensive, cost-effective health insurance for all Americans. Our current Medicare Advantage is a program that works for our seniors and for the U.S. taxpayers. It should be the platform upon which the Democrats and the Republicans are able to build a viable “Medicare for All” program together.

Right now, Democrats and Republicans are not willing to get that job done and we are all suffering as a direct result. We hope that President Trump can make the right decision and put a Medicare Advantage plan in place for all Americans.

Our current Medicare system is running out of money and our businesses cannot successfully compete in world markets at our current level of national health spending! It’s time that “We the People” tell the Senate exactly how they can fix our health care system with a “Trump Program that Really Works”.  Together we can lower the high cost of health care by improving the health of the American people and making our health insurance more affordable.

How Do We Lower the Healthcare GDP?

Did you know that in 2017, America spent about $3.65 trillion, or 18 percent of national health care GDP (NHC_GDP), on health expenditures, which more than twice the average among most developed countries. Chronic illnesses/diseases are a major contributor to the rise in health care costs. 90% of every dollar the US spends on health care goes toward treating chronic illness.

Medical professionals believe that about 80% or more chronic diseases are preventable or almost completely reversible with the right combination of health and wellness promotion and medical intervention.

As a nation, if we had been able to eliminate 50% of the cost of treating chronic illnesses in 2018, which is reasonable; our NHC-GDP would have been 12%, six percentage points (-6%) less than our actual GDP. This level of spending is  just about equal to Switzerland, with the second highest NHC-GDP. Did you know that over 48% of our population suffers from chronic illness? Did you know that 2 out of 3 (66%) of Americans are overweight and almost 40% (124.4 Million) are considered obese? Did you also know that our Health and Human Services Department has had the premier Preventative Services Task Force since 1984? Their recommendations are considered the Gold Standard for clinical health preventative services in the world. Still, according to the “New England Journal of Medicine,” by the year 2023, seven chronic diseases will have a total annual impact of $4.2 Trillion dollars on our economy.

Most Americans know that many Americans are overweight (to an unhealthy degree), and it is causing us a lot of problems and a lot of money. Obesity-related health conditions include heart disease, stroke, Type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancers, which are the leading causes of preventable and premature death.

The savings from the improved treatment of chronic illness and the restructuring of the health insurance market should easily exceed 8% of GDP. To make a long story short, it is within our power to substantially reduce the cost of our health care in the United States. We have the skills and expertise to simultaneously reduce our health care NHC-GDP to a competitive world market level, secure our exceptional and unique health care financing system, and improve the health, productivity, and insurability of the American people.

Properly designed, competitive, expertly administered and adequately regulated Medicare Advantage for All (MAA) plans can be a meaningful start and will make an important contribution to the health and wellbeing of our people and our nation. After MAA, we will need to invent the next generation Defined Contribution Health plan that tangibly will reward participants for improvements in their behavior and incentivize medical practitioners to deliver effective Preventive Predictive Personal Medical care that will prevent illness, improve health and maintain improvements over the long term. We call this the Trump Apollo Medicare Advantage plans.

These plans will not happen unless we get together and get brutally honest with ourselves. The truth is the ACA’s government regulation created rapidly increasing health insurance premiums and restricted health insurance markets. This accelerated the rise in health care GDP and priced millions of unsubsidized Americans out of the market. Continuing to throw money at the ACA program will only make matters worse. Over the last seven years, all Americans aged 25 – 64 have increased rates of death from ALL causes. U.S. infant mortality is 71% higher than the average of comparable nations of the world. Americans are dying and the ACA has failed us. We are the suckers, paying more than anybody else and getting less for it. It is time to get serious about health reform. Americans are dying.
