AMERICA'S UNDERLYING HEALTH CONDITIONS -

This web sites dedicated to the elimination of chronic illness. In fact, we claim that at least 1/2 (half) of chronic illness can be eliminated, with an annual savings of $1.3 Trillion Dollars. But what about lives? Everybody is laser focused on the 200k+ COVID deaths. How many lives can we save by improving our medical system to better cure our chronic illness? Here are a few numbers. Annually, Americans suffer 375k deaths from Coronary Heart Disease, 296k deaths from Lung Disease, 215k deaths from Brain strokes and Alzheimer's, 106k deaths from Digestive Cancers, and more than 20 Million Americans suffer from Type 2 Diabetes. Type 2 Diabetes, which is now known as the "Black Death" of the 21st Century. The incidence had increased 300% since 1990. Proper diet and lifestyle changes have resulted in some remarkable results in the treatment of Type 2 diabetes. In several cases, patients, who have suffered from the illness and treated it with insulin are able to stop the insulin injections in a matter of weeks. As you know, chronic illness is what really killed over 95% of the COVID patients. It is our poor health and our lower immunity that is killing us. And, the number of chronic illness deaths annually in the united States, make the COVID deaths look like a walk in the park, rather than the long hike in the woods, that we all need to take. We have the ability to cure well over 50% of these chronic illnesses and save hundreds of thousands of lives. We can make our country richer and more successful, but we can not do it without changing the way we deliver medical care and improving the access and affordability of health insurance for everybody. The Trump Medicare Advantage Plan can bring about this change. Medicare for All will kill us by NOT improving our health and continuing the ACA will just continue our suffering and lack of affordability.

MEDICARE ADVANTAGE FOR ALL IS AN IDEA THAT'S TIME HAS COME

First Published: July 30, 2020.                                                                                                                                                                               JAMA FORUM VIEWS - 6,056

The author of this article,  https://jamanetwork.com/channels/health-forum/fullarticle/2769097  is Dr. Stuart M. Butler, is a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution and former Director of the Center for Innovation at the Heritage Foundation, both prominent and influential policy power houses in DC. With this article, and his support of Medicare-Advantage-For-All, he joins ranks with Steve Forbes, former presidential candidate and head of Forbes Magazine, our healthcare guru, Dr. Oz and George Halvorsen, former CEO of the Kaiser Permanente, one of the first HMO's and now one of the largest health insurers in the CA, in recognizing the efficacy of this potent solution that we need for meaningful health care reform in the United States. His case is logical and very well reasoned. It just makes sense. Medicare Advantage is the fastest growing most successful insurance program we have in the United States. There is absolutely NO REASON our government can't extend this program to all Americans. We have the answers. Medicare Advantage has majority support in both political parties, in both houses of Congress and this plan is consistent with what President Donald Trump has been advocating.

Dr. Butler believes that Medicare Advantage For All is the framework for a bipartisan discussion on creating a new framework for the US health system. The program also fits into the Republican Study Commitee's Health Care plan entitled "A Framework for Personalized, Affordable Care". Unlike the higher-profile Medicare-for-all approach, a Medicare Advantage–for-all approach would have several advantages, Dr. Butler suggests for instance that:

  • Medicare Advantage has wide popular support as well as broad political support. Medicare Advantage enrollment has been growing rapidly, doubling in the last decade, with the proportion of Medicare beneficiaries in such plans now exceeding 34% and rising. Moreover, Republicans as well as Democrats have supported and expanded Medicare Advantage, and the idea of making Medicare Advantage plans available to younger US residents has begun to intrigue some reformers on the right.
  • The capitation system permits competing Medicare Advantage plans to offer a variety of benefits beyond a required core of basic benefits. Moreover, in contrast to traditional Medicare’s rigid and detailed payments system, it allows plans to explore different payments as a means of achieving greater efficiency and beneficiary satisfaction.
  • In contrast with the design of traditional Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans are generally consistent with the growing managed care pattern in non-elderly coverage, including within the employer-based system. Today, about 90% of Medicaid beneficiaries are enrolled in some form of managed care. Meanwhile, about two-thirds of workers with employment-based plans are enrolled in health maintenance organizations or other network coverage that is similar to most Medicare Advantage plans. Medicare’s income-adjusted premiums are also broadly compatible with the structure of income-based subsidies available for plans in state health insurance exchanges, and many insurers offer Medicare Advantage and health insurance exchange plans that have similar designs. Thus, for a large proportion of households, transitioning from their existing coverage to coverage more like Medicare Advantage plans would not involve a big adjustment.
  • Recent changes in laws and regulations allow Medicare Advantage plans to include more nonclinical services that can influence health, such as non-urgent transportation, nutritional services, and even some simple home modifications to reduce the risk of injuries. This reflects the growing interest in addressing so-called social determinants of health.

President Donald Trump is about to release an Executive Order that will guarantee health insurance coverage for all per-existing health conditions in the united States. This Executive Order will lay the ground work for a legislative component that will support Medicare Advantage For All as part of this important health care framework that will provide healthful and affordable health insurance for all Americans.

Viral claim that only 6% of COVID-19 deaths were caused by the virus is flat-out wrong

The CDC has documented the fact that only 6% of the COVID deaths were caused by the virus. In the article at https://www.livescience.com/colvid-19-comorbidities.html / Doctors like Dr. William Hanage from Harvard's School of Public Health make the contrary claim that COVID-19 is responsible for the increase in "excess deaths" because these Americans would not have died anyway? He estimates 228,200 in "excess deaths" this year alone. Well, before Covid-19 emerged from Wuhan, China, U C Berkeley found that in the seven (7) years ending 2017, some 33,000 “excess deaths” occurred in working aged Americans and shortened their overall life spans from all diseases. in their study, Americans of "all" ages had a higher excess death rate. The U C study documented the fact that "life spans" of all Americans had declined! And, when you add the fact that the findings of a T.H. Chan School of Public Health, also at Harvard University last year, projected that obesity in the U.S. will increase to 50% of our total population (about a quarter of which will be SEVERELY obese) by 2030, there is NO question that the COVID death rate in the United States is primarily due to the failure of our health care system! We let this happen to our health well before Covid-19, and in this great nation, this is a real travesty. Fact Check has climbed all over the 6% claim in this article, saying that it is flat out wrong when the CDC says, "6% of those who died with COVID-19 through August 15 didn't have any other reported conditions" that that DOES NOT MEAN they died of something else? They are playing semantics with excess deaths. An "excess death" is the acceptable way that our medical community has started talking about the fact that we die unnecessarily, in the United States, because we as a nation, are in deplorable health. Covid-19 highlights this status, especially with low-wage income and minority populations. The democrats propose to fix all of that by letting the government take over our health care system. Nancy Pelosi is in love Obamacare, and as you can imagine, Joe Biden is similarly smitten. The ACA has failed to provide affordable health insurance for these distressed populations. Obamacare enrollment has declined for 4 years running. Kamala Harris originally proposed Medicare-Advantage For-AlI (MAA) but later put that plan alongside a Public Option, which would likely negate an MAA plan's success. Joe Biden is stuck between a rock and a hard place with Nancy for the ACA and Bernie and Medicare for All and Kamala somewhere is the middle. We firmly believe that if you want to reduce the number of "excess deaths" in this country, certainly with anything resembling our Medicare-Advantage-For-All program; you had better vote for republican for both the House of Representatives and the Presidency. Otherwise, we can predict a government take over of the health care system and generally no special effort to save money of improve the health of the American people.

FALLING COVID-19 CASES PUTS THE U.S. IN THE EYE OF THE STORM - Corona virus infections are down in almost all of the states. Total COVID-19  cases have been falling since late July. Hospitalizations were also down 37% in July and the national rate of dieing from the disease has thankfully leveled off. But, it doesn't feel it!!! I get that. Our lives haven't changed! If anything, our personal fear of the illness and of getting sick has increased. The real challenge, as a nation, is to use this period of good news to act vigorously and with great determination to strengthen prevention, contact tracing and reinforce public health measures. We need to strategically allocate testing and reinforce social distancing routines that could finally bring the out-break under control, while we wait for a vaccine. Hawaii is a perfect example. They had one of the lowest infection and death rates in June, 2020. And, then they let things slip in July by opening up with a normal July 4th celebration, which in Hawaii is one of the most highly celebrated holidays. In the islands July 4th brings on tons and tons of fire works and social gatherings. And, now there numbers have increased to the point that they are forced to go into another lock down to curb the rising case loads. Our celebration needs to be keep this illness under control. At the moment we are in the eye of the storm, looking for a break in the eye wall.

The President feels the need to urge all the states to open up. He is between a rock and a hard place with his re-election bid in final stages. The US averages 42,000 new infections a day, down from 49,000 last week of August 23rd and 65,000 over the summer months. Morgan Stanley projects 6.5 million infections by October and the university of Washington's Institute for health predicted more than 260,000 deaths by November.  The president wants tythe schools to open because is would be a sign that things are returning to normal. But, 61% of the public K - 12 schools are starting up in virtually and 18% are employing a hybrid model. If students don't physically go back to school, who is going to watch the kids?

The $64,000 question is will the voters blame Trump for the disruption in their lives and vote for the challenger in disgust. We don't think so. What we would like to see is more study and recognition of the true health effects of contracting the illness under the age of 50. We know the death rates for ages 24 and under are infinitesimal (less than 2%). Testing positive or even carrying the illness in a symptom-less fashion should probably not present most citizens from pursuing their new close to normal lives with proper protection and social distancing. We want everyone to take a deep breath.  Let the sports teams come back, because the players are young and resilient and start opening the private schools. This will go a long way toward convincing people it is truly safe to venture out and rebut the charge that Trump's mishandling of the pandemic has sunk the economy and killed Americans.

THE WHITE HOUSE ANNOUNCES A DEAL TO PROVIDE 150 MILLION RAPID CORONAVIRUS TESTS - Abbot Labs is under contract to produce 150 Million rapid coronavirus tests that will allow users to obtain results in 15 minutes from a small card. this is a major development that will help our country remain open, get Americans back to work and kids back to school. This move is the federal government's biggest step into testing for the virus that has killed almost 180,000 Americans and infected more than 5.8 Million. Almost since the pandemic arrived in January, Trump has insisted that testing was mainly a state and local responsibility.

This move comes just five months after trump and top health officials said they would turn to private pharmaceutical companies to develop point-of-care-tests, with the FDA working in particular with Abbot Labs. Earlier this week, the CDC changed its guidance on testing at the direction of the White House Coronivirus Task Force, stating people without symptoms of covid-19, the disease caused by the virus, "do not necessarily need a test." Previously, the public health agency had advised anyone in close contact with an infected person should be tested for the virus.

Though antigen tests like this one are largely used to screen large numbers of people to find those who may be infected, the FDA said the Abbott test “has been authorized for use in patients suspected of COVID-19 by their healthcare provider within seven days of symptom onset.” The antigen test has a greater chance of a false negative result than the more reliable PCR test. The FDA said users may need a second test to confirm a negative result.

The United States has so far conducted 74 million coronavirus tests, according to the Covid Tracking Project, a volunteer organization launched from the Atlantic magazine that is dedicated to collecting data about the U.S. outbreak. This test is aimed at schools, nursing homes and doctors offices and other places where people need to be tested in a short time. Abbott hopes to make as many as 50 million tests available monthly in the United States at the start of October.

The White House Coronavirus Task Force is also considering a modification to the stay at home guidance if a person tests positive for the virus. There is increasing recognition that proper mask protocols and social distances makes it possible for people who are carrying the virus to protect those around them from contracting it. consequently, people who are infected but are symptom less to the degree that they can do normal things , should not be prevented from doing so.

YOUR CHANCE OF DYING FROM COVID -19 IS MUCH HIGHER IF YOU LIVE IN A STATE WITH A DEMOCRAT GOVENOR - If you live in a State with a Democratic Governor, you are 4.5 times more likely to die of COVID! Seems absurd - Right? See the Blog below for details. I looked at 14 of our largest states, 7 with Democrat governors (95.4 Million) and 7 with Republican governors (90..0 Million). I divided the actual total COVID Deaths by the states total population and then averaged the ratios for the Democrat states and the Republican states. And, the average for the states with Democratic governors was 4.5 times higher than the average for the states governed by Republicans, with each group of states having approximately the same total populations? On average the Blue states have 81 more dearth's per 100 citizens. How does anyone explain that difference? We are talking about relatively the same number of Americans. Very different geography. Yes, NY and CA were included. But also WI and Ohio, Georgia, Florida and Texas were also included. Bottom line - we not only have a huge differential in violence, protests and unrest in states run by Democrat Governors, but even more alarmingly, we have an exponentially higher chance of dying from COVID-19. Would that it were not true. It does effect you, even if you are not personally out there on the streets! Be safe out there America!

In order to be safe and improve the health care system in the U.S. we have to elect Republican leadership, not only at the Congressional level but also at the state level. President Trump told Chris Wallace last Sunday (7/19/2020) that he was about to announce a new health plan idea. This order is a step in the right direction of giving better healthcare to the American people.

Trump, like us, likes Medicare Advantage, which is why we want it FOR ALL. If the Democrats win in 2020, The Democrats will burn down your health care system the way they are currently burning down our cities and tearing down our monuments.

We want this program which is worked great with seniors to be extended to everyone.

A Trump Medicare Advantage Plan

Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren speak on a Medicare for All program that will cost us BIG TIME MONEY. The 10-year cost estimate for Sander’s program is $32.6 trillion and Warren estimates her plan will cost $52 trillion.

President Donald Trump, speaking at his Kansas Rally in 2018, claimed that if Congress were to enact the Medicare For All program today, it would “… eviscerate our beautiful Medicare Advantage Program…”

Trump is moving to expand Medicare Advantage. If this goes into legislation, we will begin the healing of our health care system, save lives, lengthen our life spans, and reduce high costs by improving the health and welfare of our people.

Currently, we are being ripped off with our healthcare. Birth rates and life expectancy are markers for the overall health of our nation. And, our babies are dying at a rate 71% higher than comparable nations. Over the last eight years, all Americans between ages 25 and 64 of every income, race and ethnic background have a shorter life span. In short, we desperately need to “Make America Healthy Again” and Donald Trump is the President to do it.

A Trump Medicare Advantage for All plan can deliver comprehensive, cost-effective health insurance for all Americans. Our current Medicare Advantage is a program that works for our seniors and for the U.S. taxpayers. It should be the platform upon which the Democrats and the Republicans are able to build a viable “Medicare for All” program together.

Right now, Democrats and Republicans are not willing to get that job done and we are all suffering as a direct result. We hope that President Trump can make the right decision and put a Medicare Advantage plan in place for all Americans.

Our current Medicare system is running out of money and our businesses cannot successfully compete in world markets at our current level of national health spending! It’s time that “We the People” tell the Senate exactly how they can fix our health care system with a “Trump Program that Really Works”.  Together we can lower the high cost of health care by improving the health of the American people and making our health insurance more affordable.

Trump Medicare Advantage

Trump is moving to expand Medicare Advantage. This Executive Order tells Secretary Alex Azar to propose solutions within the next year. I think he ought to order Alex Azar to figure out how to expand Medicare Advantage For All and put that into legislation before the end of the next year! That will begin the healing of our health care system, save the babies lives, lengthen our life spans, reduce the high cost by improving the health and welfare of our people. Go to: www.trump-medicare-advantage-for-all.com for all the answers.

Our Babies are Dying

Infant mortality is an important marker for the overall health of a society. So, what does it mean that the infant mortality rate in the United States is 71% higher than comparable nations on the planet? In October 2019 the Peterson Center on Healthcare, a Kaiser Family Foundation partnership, posted a study indicating that the United States has a neonatal death rate that is 63% higher than comparable countries. Our postnatal (death within the 1st year) death rate is 90% higher than in comparable countries.  If that wasn’t bad enough, the study shows that while all developed nation’s infant death rates are declining, the United States has a slower rate of improvement in the average rate of infant mortality. In fact, over the last two decades, our infant mortality has declined at a rate that is 40% less than in other countries.

In the United States, we spend 5% more money on health care than our nearest comparable country. For Americans, this additional expense amounts to almost $One Trillion Dollars. Yet in our country, we have 6 babies die for every thousand babies born. In other comparable countries, that number is half that, with only 3 babies dying per thousand babies born. This is unacceptable. Think about it! We are spending more than any other comparable nation and we have more babies dying and those babies that survive can look forward to shorter life spans for in their most productive years of life (as we previously blogged). As Donald Trump describes it when we spend more than other nations for defense, we are the “suckers”. When we spend more on health care and we get less back, we are being ripped off. We are suckers! And, we have to pass a new Trump Advantage Plan for All to deal with this crisis if we are ever going to put a stop our babies dying.

How Do We Lower the Healthcare GDP?

Did you know that in 2017, America spent about $3.65 trillion, or 18 percent of national health care GDP (NHC_GDP), on health expenditures, which more than twice the average among most developed countries. Chronic illnesses/diseases are a major contributor to the rise in health care costs. 90% of every dollar the US spends on health care goes toward treating chronic illness.

Medical professionals believe that about 80% or more chronic diseases are preventable or almost completely reversible with the right combination of health and wellness promotion and medical intervention.

As a nation, if we had been able to eliminate 50% of the cost of treating chronic illnesses in 2018, which is reasonable; our NHC-GDP would have been 12%, six percentage points (-6%) less than our actual GDP. This level of spending is  just about equal to Switzerland, with the second highest NHC-GDP. Did you know that over 48% of our population suffers from chronic illness? Did you know that 2 out of 3 (66%) of Americans are overweight and almost 40% (124.4 Million) are considered obese? Did you also know that our Health and Human Services Department has had the premier Preventative Services Task Force since 1984? Their recommendations are considered the Gold Standard for clinical health preventative services in the world. Still, according to the “New England Journal of Medicine,” by the year 2023, seven chronic diseases will have a total annual impact of $4.2 Trillion dollars on our economy.

Most Americans know that many Americans are overweight (to an unhealthy degree), and it is causing us a lot of problems and a lot of money. Obesity-related health conditions include heart disease, stroke, Type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancers, which are the leading causes of preventable and premature death.

The savings from the improved treatment of chronic illness and the restructuring of the health insurance market should easily exceed 8% of GDP. To make a long story short, it is within our power to substantially reduce the cost of our health care in the United States. We have the skills and expertise to simultaneously reduce our health care NHC-GDP to a competitive world market level, secure our exceptional and unique health care financing system, and improve the health, productivity, and insurability of the American people.

Properly designed, competitive, expertly administered and adequately regulated Medicare Advantage for All (MAA) plans can be a meaningful start and will make an important contribution to the health and wellbeing of our people and our nation. After MAA, we will need to invent the next generation Defined Contribution Health plan that tangibly will reward participants for improvements in their behavior and incentivize medical practitioners to deliver effective Preventive Predictive Personal Medical care that will prevent illness, improve health and maintain improvements over the long term. We call this the Trump Apollo Medicare Advantage plans.

These plans will not happen unless we get together and get brutally honest with ourselves. The truth is the ACA’s government regulation created rapidly increasing health insurance premiums and restricted health insurance markets. This accelerated the rise in health care GDP and priced millions of unsubsidized Americans out of the market. Continuing to throw money at the ACA program will only make matters worse. Over the last seven years, all Americans aged 25 – 64 have increased rates of death from ALL causes. U.S. infant mortality is 71% higher than the average of comparable nations of the world. Americans are dying and the ACA has failed us. We are the suckers, paying more than anybody else and getting less for it. It is time to get serious about health reform. Americans are dying.

Life Expectancy and the Health of our Nation has Declined

A recent study published in JAMA showed the life expectancy of Americans has declined significantly over the last three years — a drop driven by higher death rates among all racial and ethnic groups. Americans in the prime of their lives are dying sooner.  The death rates increased from 2010 to 2017 for all causes among people aged 25 to 64. Although suicides, drug overdoses, and alcoholism were the main causes, other medical conditions, including heart disease, strokes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, also contributed, the authors reported.

As per the lead author “The whole country is at a health disadvantage compared to other wealthy nations,” Dr. Steven Woolf of Virginia Commonwealth University, said. “We are losing people in the most productive period of their lives. Children are losing their parents. Employers have a sicker workforce.”

We are not surprised. The CDC Health Report for 2017 showed us that deterioration in all but one category (Age 65 and older-heart illness), over the last 20 years: ALL the degrees of disease suffered by the American people and the risk factors that cause them have increased, including heart disease, cancer, diabetes, hypertension, and hypercholesterolemia. In addition, sixty-six percent of our population (66%- up from 15% in 1960) is over-weight. We have the heaviest population of over-weights of any nation in the entire world. Over the last several years we have suffered increases in obesity in every age category 2-5 and 6-11 and 12-19 and now almost forty percent (40%) of all Americans over the age of 20 are obese.

This has got to stop. This weight problem contributes dramatically to our incidence of diabetes and chronic illness, the treatment of which now consumes 90% of the total National Health Care Gross Domestic Product (NHC-GDP). The NHC-GDP is eighteen percent (18% or $3.65 Trillion Dollars) of our total national GDP. The CBO predicts that the NHC-GDP will increase at an average annual rate of 5.5% in the coming decade.

In an April 2019 Associated Press Reported the Democrats enjoyed a strong edge with the voters on health care, with over 40% trusting them compared with 23% trusting Republicans. Our guess is these are the same suburban voters responsible for putting the Democrats back in the majority in the House of Representatives in 2018. None of the Democratic candidates have plans that address the fact that Americans are suffering shorter lives, a sicker workforce and we are at a health disadvantage compared to other countries with which we compete. The political party that successfully addresses these problems will win the hearts, minds and the votes of the American electorate in the next election. Medicare Advantage for All effectively addresses these problems but simply extending the old traditional Medicare plan 4 all does not!

We want to ensure immediate access to the best health care in the world at the lowest possible cost for every single American citizen that wants it. We are particularly concerned about our country’s most vulnerable citizens, including hard-working low-wage workers and the deserving uninsured, who are most vulnerable and in need of our protection and support.

To help them, we need your support. We have been working for more than four years now to get Washington, D.C. to consider our proposals. And, we have been remarkably successful. The President of the United States has mentioned our proposal in his political rallies. We were successful, along with many others, in restoring funding for the federally qualified Neighborhood Health Centers, effectively delivering primary care to millions of Americans in 1,400 communities throughout the country. And, we have a mini-plan we call the Community Health Center Health Plan (CHCHP) to further extend the benefits of this valuable resource.

Our goal is to raise awareness of the Medicare Advantage For All by making it a more viable political alternative to the progressive Medicare 4 All bills and to the importance of committing our nation to an Apollo style national program that reduces our national health care GDP to the lowest level of all the developed nations of the world by 2030. Already, the Democrats are feeling the public pressure (even from former President Obama) to consider more moderate and realistic health reform proposals in their bids for election in 2020. The Republican House Study Committee has also released a framework within which a Medicare Advantage Plan for All may fit, to create the greatest health plan the world has ever known. It looks like, no matter which party wins the 2020 elections, meaningful legislation before 2021 will be considered.

We have two opportunities for you to become a supporter (Individual and Group). The Individual Supporters, who are Medicare Advantage subscribers, politicians, their staff members, lobbyists and everyone, who has an interest in getting the system right. The Group Supporter are businesses and organization, including our insurance carriers, managed care organizations, private and political organizations, etc. Any group that would qualify for group health insurance coverage can join.

Our goal is to simply be a down-to-earth grassroots political movement, committed to getting this message out there. A comprehensive affordable health insurance for All Americans will only be possible if we are able to improve the health and wellbeing of the American people. We need a new kind of health insurance plan to do that. Humana and other Medicare Advantage plan insurers are showing us the way. We don’t need to reinvent the wheel. All we need to do is turn some wheels of governement toward what we have already created. We believe in doing that the old fashion way – by earning it, but we need your help to get the job done!

Besides this blog, our website is loaded with great information on this movement. Our website re-publishes articles and research, notices and alerts addressing the efficacy of Medicare-Advantage-For-All and effectively communicates this information to our primary audiences, which include members of Congress, key congressional staff members, the White House, policymakers in the executive branch, academics, and D.C. think-tanks, policy wonks, the media and our loyal members.

Medicare Advantage For All and the RSC Health Care Plan Fit Like a Glove

The RSC Health Plan is a framework for personalized, affordable care. As a framework, it is designed to support programs that successfully fit into the purposes for which it is designed, principally making health insurance more affordable and more accessible to the American people. Medicare-Advantage-For-All (MAA) fits right into this framework. Not only does MAA fit well in the framework, it enhances the personalized aspect of the RSC Plan by promoting an integrative approach to medical care that is predictive, preventive and personalized (PPPM) and driven by quality outcomes. The PPPM approach effectively reverses and, in some cases, even eliminates chronic illness which, according to the CDC, accounts for 90% of our annual medical costs in the United States. PPPM in conjunction with and integral Wellness & Well Being program have the potential to reduce the national annual cost of health care (and health insurance) by Trillions of Dollars.

The RSC Plan calls for expanding access to innovative care (p. 45). Quoting the Plan Document, “Most Americans would agree that the best way to improve access to care is to increase the scope of affordable care options available.” Barack Obama alluded to this when he was a presidential candidate in the 2008 election. He said, “I believe the problem is not that folks are trying to avoid getting health care. The problem is they cannot afford it.” This is confirmed by the Kaiser Family Foundation in their studies on the reasons why, so few people opt to buy into the Obamacare (Affordable Care Act) programs.

The RSC Plan assumes lawmakers will seek to explore and promote innovative ways for delivering care to individuals at affordable prices. And, there is no better way of doing that than promoting the Medicare-Advantage-For-All program with an integral Wellness & Well Being component. In their Plan document, the RSC promotes Direct Primary Care Plans, Health Care Sharing Ministries, Association Health Plans, Special Health Risk programs and Short-Term Health Plans. It is not lost on us that Medicare Advantage is the most popular health insurance program in American. A proper MAA program that can be effectively extended to All Americans is the best way to promote comprehensive and affordable health insurance in America. We can secure substantial health savings, not just through tax advantages but also with capitation, a Wellness and Well Being program supervised by HHS and quality outcomes through PPPM. Medicare Advantage For All fits the RSC Plan like a glove.

Medicare Advantage for All – Financing and Support

Medicare Advantage (Medicare Part C) has broad bipartisan support in Congress. 293 members of the 116th House of Representatives and a majority of Senators have acted in support of the program. The current program appeals to both sides of the aisle for good reasons. Why? It extends comprehensive Medicare Advantage health insurance benefits for All retirees over the age of 65 without any pre-existing condition exclusions, and in most cases without the need to pay any premiums out of pocket. It is a proper insurance plan in the traditional sense, in that the health insurance carriers take the risk. Expanding the program to cover those under age 65 with a Medicare Advantage for All (MAA) program can save the federal government and the tax payers a lot of money if we adopt an integral Wellness and Well Being program to bring an end to the prevalence of chronic illness in America. We can save $ Trillions of Dollars and put the medical expense of our economy on level paling field with the other industrialized nations of the world.

If we are successful in getting Medicare Advantage plans re-engineered and extended to all Americans, it would not require federal Obamacare style market stabilization funds and the 3R Risk abatement programs or the CSR benefits. Medicare-Advantage-For-All will eliminate the need for special federal and state funding to support the marketplace exchanges. It would continue to use capitation financing, which was the previously proposed Medicaid reforms and is recommended by the block grant approach of the RSC Affordable Health Plan. MAA would NOT require insurance carriers to raise their rates in order to expand services under the inflationary 80 to 85 percent loss ration requirements. Carriers will have the benefit of competition in providing benefits to the American people.

When we extend MAA to everyone, it will cost a lot less than ACA. In 2015, if we had purchased high-quality health insurance for ACA participants and paid all the premiums, we would have saved well over 60 Billion Dollars. Current Medicare Advantage plans cost less than the ACA plans, and if we re-engineer MA properly, we will be saving lots of money on an MAA option for under age 65 participants. In addition, we would eliminate the need for selective taxes by establishing a more equitable and American funding base.

We must not forget the Medicare Advantage is a known quantity among Americans. We will ne be able to successfully reform our health care system within out broad bipartisan support with the general electorate. The United States has made great strides toward the goal of making affordable health insurance available to everybody, but our current Congressional efforts are detracting from this progress. ACA did not do the job. It did not attract the majority of the uninsured. It turned into a small give-away program for a lot of people with serious health risks. Medicare Part C, which has been successful for 20 years, will do what both political parties are striving to achieve within the ample framework laid out by the RSC.

As an MAA supporter, you will be helping our efforts to convince the 116th Congress to put aside their partisan politics and take up the care of the health and well-being of the people.

Huge Week for Health Care Politics

The Republican Study Committee released their Stage One health care plan, which outlines the basic structure of the plan they believe should replace Obamacare in 2020. You can download their plan from the Key Documents on this medicare-advantage-for-all.com web site. Their plan document t details exactly what went wrong with the ACA and the dynamics that underlie why the Affordable Care Act insurance program are so not affordable. It proposes key tax provisions and administrative changes that will make insurance plans, like Medicare-Advantage-For-All more affordable. Including and most importantly, how their plan will cover everybody with preexisting health conditions. As RSC Chairman Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) said, “We’re going to make things better.”

Thank heavens Mike had some good news to share with us, because Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) unveiled her long awaited estimation of the costs of her Medicare 4 all plan, which was bad news for anyone looking for relief from the high cost of health insurance. Candidate Warren touted the fact that her plan would cost only $52 Billion Dollars over ten years. Her plan was adopted from candidate Bernie Sanders Plan, which was previously estimated to cost only $32.6 Trillion Dollars over ten years. Senator Warren must be planning to pay doctors and hospitals a little more than Bernie’s plan.

Most Americans know that the United States currently has a huge level of debt, which exceeds $20 Trillion Dollars, after all of our expenses. Just the idea of electing a president, who is going to try promote the take-over a functioning health care system that adds that much more debt to the balance sheet is stunning, if not ludicrous. Critics say that trying to transform a multi-payer health care system into a single payer government run Medicare 4 all system is going to cause damage.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to improve our health care system or the way in which we pay for it. Most Americans that have health insurance are struggling with the cost of it. And, a majority of Americans are concerned about those friends and neighbors that can’t afford it. But, when most people hear about a plan that is going to cost Trillions of Dollars, throw over 2 million Americans out of work and result in the government taking away their health insurance choices, they are at a loss to believe it is an improvement.

Medicare-Advantage-for-All Plans will fit right into the RSC structure of tax and procedural changes. Furthermore, a properly designed program with an integral Health & Wellness component supervised by the Department of Health and Human Services will save Trillions of Dollars starting in year one. Why We Need to Extend Medicare Advantage to Everyone

Nothing is more important than our health, right? Then, we need to start acting like it. Medicare Advantage-for-All (MAA) is the answer.

Did you know Medicare Advantage is the most popular health plan in the United States? If we extend it to everyone, we can lower our National Healthcare GDP (NHC) by $1.3 Trillion Dollars to 12% by eliminating more than half of our chronic illness.  According to OASDI Trustees, they project by 2026 the Medicare Trust Fund for 59.8 Million retired Americans will be 100% GONE!

Here are some current facts and figures about the state of health in the United States:

  • The United States is the number one national spender on healthcare across the globe, yet, the WHO says we are only 37th in quality.
  • The CDC finds that 90% of the national NHC-GDP ($3.285 Trillion Dollars) is spent on the treatment of chronic illness.
    • We can reduce an estimated 80% of this risk with better medical care and an integral Medicare-Advantage-For-All health and wellness program.
  • 66% of U.S. is overweight. NIH says 2 in 3 Americans are overweight and the CDC reports nearly 40% of us (124.4 Million) are obese.
  • The 2018 NHC-GDP is $3.65 trillion dollars, and it is expected to increase 5.5% annually through 2030, at which time our over age 65 population will have doubled, we will have added 5 Million more uninsured Americans and our chronic illness cost will explode.
  • The healthcare formula that we are sitting on will create a financial burden on the American people that may deprive Medicare beneficiaries of their health insurance. Unless we start doing the RIGHT thing, our seniors will NOT be able to keep their plan!

Medicare-Advantage-For-All is the answer to these problems.  As Americans, we must take hold of our TRUE AMERICAN destiny and reduce the cost of healthcare by demanding that the federal government improve our health, well-being and productivity.

Join Us! Help your country continue to work for justice and truth in the free world.

We must get our elected officials to accept our uniquely American healthcare system and give us the better health and the better health insurance that we deserve!
